- JUAN FRANCISCO CASTRO, DEAN OF THE SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS AND FINANCE
Senior professor in the Academic Department of Economics, dean of the School of Economics and Finance, and a member of the Research Center of Universidad del Pacifico. A PhD in International Development from the University of Oxford (England), a MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (England), and holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Universidad del Pacifico. His research work focuses on child development, skills training, education, and applied micro econometrics. He has various publications associated with these topics and has been a consultant for institutions such as the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Department for International Development of the United Kingdom, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion and the Ministry of Economics and Finance of Peru.
- JULIO AGUIRRE, VICE DEAN OF POLITICS, PHILOSOPHY, AND ECONOMICS
Associate Professor of the Academic Department of Economics, Vice Dean of the Politics, Philosophy, and Economics program at the School of Economics and Finance, and member of the Research Center at the Universidad del Pacífico. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of San Andrés (Argentina), an MA in Economics from Georgetown University (United States) – ILADES (Chile), and a BA in Economics from the Universidad del Pacífico. He has experience in the public sector in competition policy and public service infrastructure regulation. He has served as Head of Economic Studies at the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property (INDECOPI) and the Supervisory Agency for Investment in Public Transportation Infrastructure (OSITRAN). He has developed various research projects and consultancies on the topics of (i) regulation of transport and energy infrastructure, (ii) impact assessments in the education, agriculture and infrastructure sectors, and (iii) environmental economics for national and international organizations.
