Gustavo Yamada, Director of the Research Center (CIUP as in the Spanish acronym) and full professor in the Department of Economics at Universidad del Pacífico, was appointed Director of the Economic Peruvian Association during the opening ceremony of the Association's annual congress held today at the Piura Campus of Universidad de Piura.

Annual Congress of the Peruvian Economic Association
The Annual Congress of the Peruvian Economic Association will take place on August 2 and 3 and will bring together national and foreign experts. This edition has as its central theme "Natural disasters, reconstruction and governance", where 80 academic papers on applied economics in different areas: education, development, labor, international, experimental, behavioral, public policies and macroeconomics, will be presented.
