ESTEBAN CHONG

Professional Profile

Main professor in the Academic Department of Accounting at Universidad del Pacífico. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh (USA) and a degree in Accounting from Universidad del Pacífico. He has conducted several studies in the field of financial statement auditing at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

He holds a Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards from The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK), and in Corporate Governance in the Boardroom from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management (United States).

He has broad professional experience and has been a partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Peru for 20 years. He has held various positions at PwC, including Territory Senior Partner (TSP) for Peru and Bolivia, Head of Assurance for Peru, partner in charge of Risk Management, member of the Regional Executive Committee and representative to the Regional Board of Directors (Theater Oversight Board) where he was chair of the Admissions Committee. As TSP he focused on the alignment of the business with the PwC organization, the improvement of human capital and the greater insertion within the community and the local environment.

Chong is a member of the board of several institutions such as PwC Latin American Network, Agro KR, Asociación Invirtiendo en el Perú - inPeru. He has served as president of the Peruvian Institute of Independent Auditors - IPAI, treasurer of the American Chamber of Commerce and vice president of CONFIEP. He has also participated in various forums at national and international level as keynote speaker, moderator and panelist.
