Professional Profile

Associate Professor in the Academic Department of Economics, Vice Dean of Economics at the School of Economics and Finance at Universidad del Pacífico and researcher at the Research Center of Universidad del Pacífico (CIUP). He has a BA and a licentiate’s degree in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico. He holds an M.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a DPhil (PhD) in International Development from the University of Oxford (England).
His current work focuses on child development, skills training, education, and applied microeconometrics. He has several publications regarding these issues and has been a consultant to institutions such as the Department for International Development of the United Kingdom, the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion.
