Professional Profile
Full professor of the Department of Social and Political Sciences. She has a Ph.D. and a M.A. in Government from Harvard University, and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Chicago.
She has worked as a professor of political science and governance courses, and on the social and political reality of Peru and the United States. She is currently a member of the Regional Board of Directors of Harvard University David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies (DRCLAS). She is also a founding member of Grupo Sofia: professional women in the Social Sciences.
She has been Director of the Research Center of Universidad del Pacífico (CIUP), and Head of the Department of Social and Political Sciences. She has also been President of the Board of Directors of the Consortium of Social Economic Research (CIES), and has held the William Henry Bloomberg Chair at Harvard University, where she was also Director of the Program on Philanthropy, Civil Society and Social Change (PACSA). She has been a program officer for the Ford Foundation and a consultant in several other foundations and international cooperation agencies. She has also been a member of the National Commission of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), as a representative of the university sector.
