Dinámica entre estrategias competitivas, recursos y capacidades, y desempeño de empresas exportadoras en Latinoamérica (“Dynamics between competitive strategies, resources, and capabilities, and performance of exporting companies in Latin America”)Heredia Pérez, JorgeBusiness Management and Social ResponsibilityThe implementation of competitive strategies is an important aspect for exporters because, as several authors have shown, strategy failures occur more in the implementation phase than in the formulation, and this is reflected in the performance. These failures show that the strategies need to be supported by resources and capacities to develop a sustainable competitive advantage over time. This research presents an unprecedented theoretical model that explains how interactions between resources / capabilities, competitive strategies, and export performance of companies in emerging economies develop, from a theoretical perspective that integrates the institutional perspective, of the industry, and of resources and capabilities. Thus, managers of exporting companies will recognize the elements that must be considered for a successful implementation of competitive strategies.29Dinámica entre estrategias competitivas, recursos y capacidades, y desempeño de empresas exportadoras en Latinoamérica (“Dynamics between competitive strategies, resources, and capabilities, and performance of exporting companies in Latin America”)http://www.up.edu.pe/en/Lists/Proyectos/DispForm.aspx?ID=29
El desempeño empresarial en economías emergentes: el caso del Perú (“Business performance in emerging economies: the case of Peru”)FLORES CASTRO, Juan AlejandroBusiness Management and Social ResponsibilityWhat is the impact of industry effect, the company effect, and the institutional effect on the performance of companies based in Peru? This research rises from this question, and it seeks to contribute, theoretically, to find new interactions between the three effects (industry, company, and institutions) from new factors that might arise as relevant from the perspective of resources and capabilities. Similarly, the introduction of a new model that complements the existing paradigm opens up new opportunities to evaluate the performance of the company in an emerging country. Also, on a practical level, managers of companies in Peru would have the opportunity to understand the components of each of these three effects and the impacts that they cause on the results of the company.22El desempeño empresarial en economías emergentes: el caso del Perú (“Business performance in emerging economies: the case of Peru”)http://www.up.edu.pe/en/Lists/Proyectos/DispForm.aspx?ID=22
Incidencia de las variables que influyen en la intención de compra del café (“Incidence of variables that influence the coffee purchase intent”)PIPOLI DE AZAMBUJA, Gina MaríaBusiness Management and Social ResponsibilityLiterature describes in detail the relationship between the country's image and the purchase intent of consumers, but is rather limited when linking the product image with the purchase intent of consumers and, even more, when the influence of the country familiarity and the product familiarity are added. On the other hand, most of the reviewed studies were conducted in developed countries for manufactured or technological products, but not for emerging countries nor for agricultural products. Thus, this project, based on the doctoral thesis of the researcher, seeks to help fill the existing gap in the literature by considering the association of the country's image, the product image, the country familiarity and / or the product familiarity with the consumer purchase intent for the case of Peruvian coffee.40Incidencia de las variables que influyen en la intención de compra del café (“Incidence of variables that influence the coffee purchase intent”)http://www.up.edu.pe/en/Lists/Proyectos/DispForm.aspx?ID=40
Narrativas identitarias de los empresarios sociales en Lima (“Identity narratives of social entrepreneurs in Lima”)PRIALÉ VALLE, María ÁngelaBusiness Management and Social ResponsibilityWhile any form of entrepreneurship is a contribution to society, according to recent research, there are nuances in how both types of entrepreneurship, social and commercial, generate it. These nuances would lead us to also think about the existence of possible differences in the profiles and motivations of both types of entrepreneurs. Therefore, the proposed research aims at investigating the way in which the complexity of the entrepreneurial phenomenon, understanding its social relevance and its endogenous and exogenous dimensions, is understood and experienced by social entrepreneurs in Lima. It specifically seeks to understand how social entrepreneurs raise their own narratives and position them regarding the speeches and information available on this new way of being an entrepreneur.41Narrativas identitarias de los empresarios sociales en Lima (“Identity narratives of social entrepreneurs in Lima”)http://www.up.edu.pe/en/Lists/Proyectos/DispForm.aspx?ID=41
Procesos de innovación y adopción de tecnologías en servicios (“Innovation Processes and technology services adoption”)SARAVIA VERGARA, Enrique AndrésBusiness Management and Social ResponsibilityWhat are the factors or criteria that make the offer of online services not to make the most yet, at least at expected levels, of the great advantages of technology? This situation is due to innovation processes in organizations and the fact that consumers do not have an adequate level of response. The researcher developed in 2015 the research project "Adoption of technologies by consumers in business services" and this time he plans to continue the research from the perspective of companies. This involves studying innovation processes. Thus, after meeting the customer in relation to the adoption of online services, this research is aimed at defining the key success factors in the development of innovation processes from the perspective of organizations.42Procesos de innovación y adopción de tecnologías en servicios (“Innovation Processes and technology services adoption”)http://www.up.edu.pe/en/Lists/Proyectos/DispForm.aspx?ID=42
