Professional Profile

Full-time professor at Universidad del Pacífico Academic Department of Engineering and researcher at Universidad del Pacífico Research Center. She holds a Ph.D. and a Licentiate Title in Physics from Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA-Argentina).
She has extensive experience as a professor of several courses in the field of Higher Laboratories in the Department of Physics at the School of Exact and Natural Sciences at Universidad de Buenos Aires. She has been temporary professor in the Department of Physics at Colegio Nacional de Buenos Aires. She was also in charge of the courses of Mathematics and Physics for the International Baccalaureate (IB) in Bede’s Grammar School (Buenos Aires) and Colegio Peruano Británico (Lima). In the field of research, she has worked several years in the Division of Solid Lasers in DEILAP, home of CONICET. Within the field of Photonics, she was devoted to the study of structural color generation in an endemic beetle species from Southern Argentina and Chile.
She has served as President of the University of Buenos Aires’ chapter of the International Society for Optical Engineering, as Vice President of the University of Buenos Aires’ chapter of the Optical Society of America, and as member of the Asociación Física Argentina. In addition, she has served as meritorious student in the Division of Solid Lasers at the Lasers and Applications Research Center (CEILAP), and the Institute of Scientific and Technical Research of the Armed Forces (CITEFA- CONICET- UNSAM).

Specialization Areas

Photonic crystals, solid lasers, evolutionary algorithms, multi-layers, structural color, pulsed solid lasers with techniques of active and passive Q-Switch.
