Senior professor at Universidad del Pacífico Academic Department of Accounting and member of the Business Management and Social Responsibility Area at the Research Center. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from American University in Washington D.C. (United States), a Master’s degree in Sustainability and Environmental Management from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia, and a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Accounting from Universidad del Pacífico.
He has conducted extensive research on business management with an emphasis on microenterprises and microfinances. He has also provided advisory and support to various government agencies on his specialty. Alongside a team of researchers from Macquarie University (Australia), he is currently carrying out an analysis of the use of water resources in the mining sector. He is also developing research proposals at Makerere University (Uganda).
Franco has experience managing Universidad del Pacífico’s Consulting Services. He has provided consulting to private and international organizations such as USAID and IFC. He has been a Board member at Banco de Comercio and Procapitales. In addition, he has been Head of the Academic Area of the Goldman Sachs’ 10,000 Women Project. At present, he is a member of international university accreditation bodies such as Consejo Nacional de Acreditación de Colombia and CINDA.
