ENZO DEFILIPPI

Professional Profile

Professor and researcher at Universidad del Pacífico and member of the CIUP (Universidad del Pacífico Reserach Center). He holds a PhD in Economics from Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam (The Netherlands), an MBA and a Master´s degree in Public Policy from the IESA (Venezuela), and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He has also pursued further postgraduate studies at Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan (Italy).
He has extensive experience as an academic, public official and consultant. He has been professor and researcher at academic centers in Peru and abroad and has published research on a variety of economic issues, among which stand out those of regulation, antitrust, public-private partnerships and transport economics. He is also an expert in business valuation and an expert appraiser of economic damages in arbitration proceedings.
He has been Vice Minister of Economy, Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Production and member of the Pro Development Committee of Proinversión. He has also been Chairman of the Board at COFIDE and Deputy Director of CAF. He has provided consulting services to the European Commission, the Andean Community of Nations, the World Bank Group, various ministries and public institutions, and many private companies in various economic sectors. He is member of the Peruvian Economic Association and columnist for El Comercio newspaper.
