The Alliance for Action towards a Green Economy (PAGE) is an initiative of the United Nations System implemented by UNEP, the International Labor Organization (ILO), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR); and Peru is one of the first countries in Latin America to implement it. State institutions committed to the initiative so far are MINAM (“Ministry of the Environment”), the PETM (“Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion”), the MEF (“Ministry of Economy and Finance”), and Ceplan (“National Centre of Strategic Planning”). The area team will be responsible for the technical component of the project. In particular, the main objectives of the project are to develop a diagnosis of strategic planning at a national level concerning the concepts of economy and green growth and estimate a long-term model that allows to approximate the costs and benefits of a transition to a green growth model. Teachers leading the project are Elsa Galarza, Bruno Seminario and Daniel De La Torre Ugarte.
