Data visualization is the domain covering the graphic representation of data in order to communicate information. Its aim is twofold:
- To present the data in an understandable manner, mainly with classical charts and dashboards - “a picture is worth ten thousand words”-
- To produce complex interactive visual interfaces to explore data and find new insights -“using vision to think”1.
In this seminar, through many examples, we will study how to design efficient visual interfaces. We will also learn to use powerful Web libraries to create such interfaces.

This course is to explore the essential principles, practices and opportunities of information technology; study of fundamental software technology, database technology and network technology; application of IT in enterprises and personal communications network; the ability to solve problems in information technology; the hot pots and creative thinking in this information era. This course is a new and closely linked with real society, and it combines theory with practice closely, so this course will pay special attention to the current trends of Information Technology, based on existing theories, and combing normative and empirical research, and through the case method to the basic status and future trends.

This course is an intensive, new ventures leadership program to generate next entrepreneurs. Being a smart, competent entrepreneur requires a practical and organizational knowledge of business, technology, and design.
From this class, you will learn three important things. First, it will give you a lesson of how you can generate business ideas to be an entrepreneur with a variety of business, design, and technology discussions and exercises with your team members. Second, it will give a monumental lesson that you can understand where your own strengths and weaknesses are. Third, it will suggest positive directions of how you can overcome language barriers and a better attitude for being a future entrepreneur.
