Our Master’s Degree offers a modern study program adapted to present industry needs. It has adopted a theoretical and practical approach where courses provide relevant contents that can be immediately put into practice. This approach provides a balance between theory and real life application, thus strengthening critical thinking skills. The course program includes a large number of case studies and examples from local and agribusinesses and international markets where Peruvian agricultural industry products compete.

A Select Faculty Focusing on Agribusiness

Our faculty includes accredited professors who are leaders in the agribusiness and food industry. They are leaders and consultants in industry, government agencies and international cooperation. They have put their real world experience in preparing practice-oriented course program that can be applied to the world of agribusiness, thanks to their deep understanding of industry issues.

Q&A Sessions

The Master’s Degree provides participants access to a select consultative council and business leaders from the agribusiness industry at Q&A sessions, especially designed to that end. At these meetings, experts shared their professional experience on the topics addressed in each teaching module.

Leveling courses

On-site and online leveling courses are taught to students who hold a Bachelor’s Degree in administration, economics, accounting or industrial engineering, or those wishing to enroll in update or refresher courses and who master the required academic tools for optimum performance during their stay in our programs. Enrolment in leveling courses is open to students after their registration in the corresponding program.

Management Skill Building

The Postgraduate School promotes skill and competency building in leadership, negotiation, teamwork and interpersonal communication throughout the program.

Alumni Network

The alumni network and the Outplacement Office offer students and graduates the following services:

• Conferences and other activities led by experts which present economic, social and business related subjects.

Master’s Degree in Agribusiness Management

Universidad del Pacífico offers a Master’s Degree in Agribusiness Management . We offer a Master’s Degree and not just a certificate.  Graduates from our program earn a nationally accredited diploma recognized by most companies. As a result, participants obtain better value for their investment in enhancing their long term professional career outlook.

Double International Academic Degree – Optional

Universidad del Pacífico has partnered with Universidad de Almería (UAL) to provide participants the opportunity to enroll for courses at UAL leading to a degree in Master’s in Agribusiness Management, awarded by Universidad de Almería, Spain.

Leveling Introductory Courses

To ensure participants will start their study program with the academic foundation to pursue more sophisticated course offerings, a compulsory free of charge program is taught at the beginning of the study program, including a case study methodology and Excel tools workshops.

Interactive Learning Method

a)      The Postgraduate School promotes the “case study” method of learning that engages students in teamwork, board of directors meeting simulation and argumentative and interpersonal communication of executive positions.

b)     In addition, it promotes the use of other interactive methodologies such as online forums and the execution of specialized conferences.

Study Trips

Travel to the Interior of Peru. Aware of the significant differences in agribusinesses in different areas of Peru, the course’s first and third module include two trips to the interior or Peru for visiting and examining specific business experiences. The first visit will include travel to Peru’s rural coast. Intensive class offerings are organized during this travel period. Major modern agricultural operations in the Cañete and Ica areas are scheduled. The second trip will visit operations in Peru’s central Andean and Amazon Forest regions, in Huancayo, Tarma, Satipo and Villa Rica.

Study Trips Abroad – Optional

 Study Trip to Spain. The Master’s Degree program includes a study mission to Spain leading to the Double Degree option. The trip includes a one-week stay at Universidad de Almería and visits to various institutions and agribusinesses in Almería province, one of the most important agro-exporting areas in Europe. In addition, students will visit the international food fair in Barcelona.

Short Studies and Programs Abroad. In addition, Postgraduate School students may pursue an academic term at any of the 27 institutions having signed international postgraduate level agreement with Universidad del Pacífico.
