I spent one semester studying at UP in Lima and I had the most amazing time. Peru is a country that offers an infinite number of things to do and places to go and the people are most welcoming.
Also the university is great. The professors are really open and nice, always helping the exchange students. The courses are really interesting and I've learned a lot. It was a very valuable experience. There were also activities organized for the exchange students, like for example welcome week, which made me feel at home from the very beginning. I also think their buddy program is brilliant, thanks to it I made a lot of Peruvian friends.
All in all, my semester in Peru was unforgettable and I'd love to come back sometime soon! I loved every minute of my stay there and I really miss Peru and Lima.

The semester that I spent in Peru was a remarkable experience for me from all of the points of view. When I decided to choose Peru from all of the destinations my University offered, the language was an important factor. I intended improving my Spanish and going to Lima was an excellent decision. Not only that the courses are held in Spanish, but the fact that also outside the University everybody is willing to be patient and understanding with the foreigners is a considerable advantage. Another very important thing to mention is that the Peruvians have a very pleasant neutral Spanish accent which helps a lot, especially in the first weeks.
The Universidad del Pacifico is a professional institution and I was impressed with the facilities and the courses that are offered there. I very honestly say that this university is very close to the standards found at the top European universities. For any student that goes to Lima for a semester, the variety of coursed offered there, should fit without a problem into their original study plan.
And to continue with probably the most important part of the experience abroad, Peru is an incredible country that has a lot to offer to any foreigner, no matter his/her interests. The culture of the Andean people, the landscapes, the variety of places to visit and things to do would add the perfect ingredients for a semester in the most impressive country of Latin America. Only if I refer to the gastronomy, a semester is not enough to try everything delicious Peru has to offer.

My stay at the University of Pacifico and in Peru will remain an unforgettable experience. I made the most of all the occasions I had to meet Peruvians, to explore the country and to discover its cultural wealth (dancing, music, folklore, craft industry, gastronomy, etc). A year is not enough to know everything. That is why it is with great pleasure that I would return one day.
