Following the guidelines established by the CFA Institute, this competition was carried out in two parts. The first part was the presentation of a report, written in English, of the financial analysis of a publicly traded company, Inretail, selected by the CFA Society of Peru. The second part was the defense, in English, of the report recommendation. Then, there was a round of questions and answers led by member judges of the CFA Society of Peru.
Following this achievement, the UP team will participate in the Americas Regional competition in Seattle where teams from universities from the United States, Canada, Peru, Central America, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, and Argentina will take part.
The CFA Institute Research Challenge financial analysis competition promotes best practices among future investment professionals, providing experience that complements their training and develops an interest in the investment profession.
"We are very proud of the great work of the UP team in the local competition.
