Tribual can be regarded as a continuation of the work presented by Lissette Cruzalegui Soria in the Mixticius exhibition, where she seeks to focus on the problems of the individual in relation to their roots and surroundings. Combining abstract elements as well as texts, at some moments, she urges the viewer to penetrate into the human being's unintelligible and hybrid spaces. She uses a vibrant color palette and a firm stroke, with defined and dynamic lines that intersect with these speeches, which, far from generating confusion, transport us to the idea of confusing cities, but that seek to be defined out of the traditional: change, mix and diversity at the same time. Her work evokes mural painting, graffiti and collages.
Lissette Cruzalegui Soria:
She is a visual artist graduated from Escuela de Arte Alternativa in 2010 and a Bachelor of Arts from the Universidad Mayor de San Marcos (2013). Her work seeks to express and develop different concepts and ways of getting involved with our culture, that make us reflect on the past through symbols, iconographic forms, letters and everything that influences "the absorbing" of the whole: the nothingness that is the starting point to be able to create new worlds. Her work has been exhibited in galleries of the Lima circuit as Vértice and Corriente Alterna and cultural centers like El Olivar, Ccori Wasi, Juan Parra del Riego and San Marcos. It has also been exhibited abroad at NES Galería, Galería POPA and Espacio de Arte ESEADE, in Buenos Aires; at the Latino Art Museum in California; and at the Institut für alles Mögliche in Berlin.
