  • Weather and Clothing

    Cuzco has a dry and mild weather, with two defined seasons. However, it is necessary to pay attention to the weather forecast in order to dress appropriately.

    Cuzco's dry season starts in April and ends in October, and is characterized by an intense sun and occasional night frosts. July is the coldest month, with average temperatures around 9.6°C. The rainy season is from November to March, with less common night frosts. Unlike what many people believe, the presence of snow is unusual.

    Altitude in Cuzco exceeds 3000 m.a.s.l. Warm clothes, jackets, and sweaters are recommended.  Caps, scarves, gloves, ponchos, and chullos are also highly recommended. However, light clothes are comfortable, especially during sunny mornings. Rain is very common in Cuzco, so you need a light waterproof jacket.​

  • Cost of living

    Prices in Cuzco vary depending on the required service. For example, lodgings go from US$ 10 to US$ 40 a night. Tourist menus are usual in the city, with prices ranging from S/. 15 to S/. 25 (Peruvian currency).

    There are many entertainment options in Cuzco. Visits to Machu Picchu, Ollantaytambo, Moray, and Qoricancha, among others, have different costs. It is recommended to contact travel agencies offering package tours that include visits to those places.

    International students can access the ISIC card, which will allow them to have various discounts on tourist tickets in Cuzco and other cities in Peru.​

  • Safety recommendations

    Cuzco is the most important tourist destination in the country and one of the places that guarantees the visitors' safety the most. However, when you are there, it is recommended to carry only the money you will need for your daily visits.

    Documents and valuable objects and should be kept in a safe place, preferably in the safe deposit boxes offered by hotels. Also, be careful with your baggage, travel bags and cameras.​

Based on this, the University is authorized to send information to the holder of the personal data on the various graduate, executive education and languages academic programs; surveys on satisfaction and educational service improvement; academic, artistic, cultural and entertainment events organized by the University or any of its units, for which it will use the mail, telephone or any other means of communication.

Also, for undergraduate students, the holder of the personal data authorizes the University to provide all the information stored in the University systems to their parents or guardians that request it and can prove their quality of such.

The user also authorizes the University to share, give or transfer this information to third parties; for the purpose of conducting telemarketing activities, keeping the holders data updated, providing information on job boards or meeting the requirements made ​​by the relevant authorities under the assurance that the University will seek that it will not be affected by any misuse. The user's refusal to provide their personal data makes it impossible for the University to include it in the database that sends instant and up-to-date information regarding undergraduate programs, university extension courses or any academic program offered by the university, as well as other activities related to the University.
