About the faculty
The School of Law of the University of the Pacific was created in the year 2008. It currently has two primary objectives. The first is to provide students with a legal formation for business purposes with the same ethical, multi-disciplinary and international focus that the University of the Pacific has always had. Second, it seeks to contribute to generating the changes needed in the national legal reality.
The country must develop a legal system that is capable of assuming the challenges of our times in terms of both the economy and preserving our democratic values. The School of Law of the University of the Pacific was created to respond to this need and contribute to the country’s development.
School Council
The Council of the School of Law is comprised of the Dean, who presides over council, the Assistant Dean and three representatives of professors from different academic departments, who are appointed by the Directing Council, the Head of the Department of Law, and a member of the Student Council, who is elected by and from among student council members, and by a representative of Law students, who has been elected by the student body. We will have no alumni representative until the first class has graduated.
